SIX THIRTEEN

Today, I’d like to discuss the importance and symbolism of these numbers, to me.

6 – This number has always resonated with me. I was born on the 16th, and I have six people in my family. This number has always put me at ease, and is my lucky number when 16 isn’t present.

13 – This number, while not incredibly important to me, has always been the number of bad luck, and often times a badass reference for those willing to wear this number proudly.

On June 13th, 2009 – I graduated from high school and received my diploma. This was a huge milestone for me. High school, while relatively easy in terms of my grades, was such a trying time for me. Everyone knows how difficult your teen years are, and mine were no exception.

On June 13th, 2013 – BTS debuted. While I of course was not present or happened to know of them at the time, BTS has become a huge part of my life. Knowing that the ultimate underdogs of K-pop debuted and started a new chapter in their lives on the same date that I too had started a new chapter is really beautiful to me.

On June 13th, 2019 – I bought my own website domain. Ten years after my graduation, I finally did something for myself. I took my first step towards branding myself and creating something that I’ve wanted to for years but was too scared to do. I’ve always had dreams and goals to do something creative, and this date brought me the inspiration to do so.

3:16 – My favorite wrestling reference of all time, thanks to my favorite wrestler – Stone Cold Steve Austin. Funnily enough, this number is 613 backwards, aka June 13th or 6/13.

619 – Another wrestling reference to Rey Mysterio. Though this one is a stretch, if you subtract my lucky number 6 from this, you get… 613.

While this post may be silly or unusual to most people, I’m the type of person who looks for signs or greater meanings to things. Knowing that so many important factors in my life play out with these numbers makes me feel like so much of this is fate.
